Britain and Ireland’s Next Top Model has had a new addition to the judging panel, in the form of Tyson Beckford this season. And the supermodel has been keen to talk about his experiences with the British ladies he’s worked with in the past, calling them both polite and wild.
Two traits he is more than happy to encourage in a model it would seem. He’s been happy to see the British contestants cheeky sides coming out during the process of the show, whether they are model material, or could do with an appointment down at RushHair.co.uk to improve their chances. Speaking about the British female models he’s worked with in the past Tyson said:
“I always felt they were beautiful. I worked with many in my career and they were always very polite, so it’s good to see that they have personality and are very cheeky.”
He’s also found that while the British models have manners, they don’t appear to be as shy or coy as you might expect. Especially when you consider the British stereotype. In fact, they always seemed happy to go in for the steamy poses as Tyson explained.
“They don’t ask – they say, ‘I’m going to give you a kiss now, if you don’t mind.’ They’re very polite, very well brought up, but there are the wild ones too.”
Tyson is a self confessed Anglophile, having been brought up in the West Indies where the British influence is strong. So it’s no wonder he agreed to do the Britain and Ireland version of Next Top Model.
Congrats Tyson on the new gig! Have a ball taming the wild-child model Brits!
